OUR STORY

Helping you understand and embrace your cycle.

Off the blob was formed from our shared confusion of life after the pill.

Both in our mid-twenties and after having been on the pill for over a decade each, the decision to come off hormonal birth control had a huge impact on us.

On any given day, more than 300 million women worldwide are menstruating. Despite this, there’s not a lot of information available on menstrual health for women not currently wanting to get pregnant.

We found the information that was available to be confusing and contradictory.

How do you regulate your cycle after a decade of being on hormonal birth control? What foods should I focus on in the luteal phase? What is a “normal” cycle? Is there anything I can do to naturally minimise the negative impacts of hormonal symptoms?

We created off the blob as a place to find answers to some of these questions, and to create a space we wish had been available for us when we started navigating the world of menstrual health. We’re here to offer all things menstrual cycle - book, podcast and app recommendations, workout suggestions, recipes, and other interesting things we’ve found along the way to learn about, tune into and embrace our cycles.

Menstrual health directly reflects mental and physical health in general, so join us as we learn about our bodies, our cycles and ourselves, whether you’re on the blob…

Or off the blob.
