Because it's time to reclaim the conversation around women's health. Terms like "on the blob" or "on the rag" have been used to belittle and shame our bodies for too long. Phases like these are often used in a mocking or insensitive context, reinforcing negative stereotypes about women being "moody" or "irrational" during their periods.Such language perpetuates the idea that menstruation is something to be hidden, embarrassed about, or diminished, which can contribute to feelings of shame and silence around a natural part of women's health. We're here to break free from these outdated, derogatory labels that reduce our health to something uncomfortable or embarrassing. Off the blob means moving beyond the stigma, celebrating our bodies, and highlighting the important work and research that needs to be done within women's health.
For too long, periods have been wrapped in stigma, hidden behind outdated phrases, and dismissed as something to be embarrassed about.
Menstrual health = real health, and it’s time we start treating it that way.
Off the Blob is about shifting the conversation—ditching the shame, challenging the stereotypes, and making space for real talk about women’s health.
Because understanding our cycles means understanding our bodies, and that knowledge is power.
